Call it Green if you like and it’s what we do because we care.

We care about the health of our customers and employees by using organic cleaning fluids which are not toxic and won’t ruin the environment.

We care about the use of energy. Not only is energy expensive for us but the consumer ultimately pays for it. We feel it is our responsibility to limit how much energy goes into the cleaning processes which are required to maintain your clothes. We have cared about this and worked toward reducing our energy usage even before the term “carbon footprint” came into use. French Cleaners has found new and innovative ways to reduce energy costs.

One great way is though water re-uses and heat transfer. At French Cleaners water is used multiple times before being discharged down the drain. Cold water is first used to cool equipment which in turn preheats the water allowing less energy to be used in heating the water needed for washing. The water is finally brought up to full temperature not by using new energy but the byproduct of the pressing machines instead of it flowing wastefully up a stack.

A lower energy consumption rotary screw air compressor with electronic monitoring is used to make clean dry air which is necessary for dry-cleaning equipment to run.

The fluorescent lighting has been upgraded to use energy saving ballasts and T-8 bulbs which require less energy for the same amount of light.

We use modern state of the art steam traps. This new space age steam trap technology is used to conserve on the use of steam by eliminating the chance of steam leaks due to malfunctions which are common with traditional steam traps.

French Cleaners encourages customers to bring back hangers and poly for re-use and or re-cycling.

Shirts are washed in a lower temperature using advanced soaps and chemicals to clean better while turning down the dial. This conserves energy as well as making your clothes last longer.

French Cleaners has redesigned its working areas to keep warm equipment together in an area which is cooled by evaporative cooling while allowing our other working areas to be air-conditioned inexpensively.

Computers are used to aid in establishing pickup and delivery routes in the most efficient routing therefore saving fuel in our delivery vans.
