After the cleaning, the Wedding Gown is inspected thoroughly by our Wedding Gown expert who is a stickler for details. The gown is inspected for stains, loss of trim and any sewing that might be required. The gown is then put in holding until our customer is notified and asked to come in for an inspection. After the inspection the gown is preserved using Museum Quality packaging using specific acid free materials and placed in a muslin cloth outer bag. This authentic museum quality packaging is the same used in museums with no plastics and is designed to keep the garment from external exposure to contaminants but allows the materials to breathe naturally. A final photo is taken as the gown is being placed into the storage box and fastened to the outside for easy identification of the gown inside. It is recommended to open the box with clean hands and inspect every few years to be aware of any changes that might occur while in storage.
