Wet Cleaning

Wet-Cleaning is one of the newest methods of cleaning clothes which came into existence with the realization that some Dry-Cleaning methods are not very good for health or the environment. For years, garments or materials that were sensitive to water by either shrinking or changing colors were always dry-cleaned. The wet-cleaning system allows the use of water along with special environmentally friendly additives to allow cleaning of these sensitive materials without the usual shrinkage or color problems. The process is extremely gentle and provides an alternative to dry-cleaning for wools, silks, sweaters etc. Wet-cleaning is available upon request at French Cleaners and is used automatically when our experts determine that a garment will be best served by wet-cleaning to remove soils which are not able to be removed in dry-cleaning.
